Greetings Parents and Students:
WELCOME BACK!!!
I am beyond excited to work with each and every one of you during this upcoming school year. This letter will provide you with information regarding my work here at Mullen Public Schools.
Office: My office is located just off of the library at the High School.
Schedule: I will be working at both the Elementary and High School buildings this year. Set times for the Elementary will be as follows.
Mondays: I will be at the Elementary for lunch and recess.
Wednesdays: All morning 7:30 am until 12:20 pm..

Middle School: There are a Quarter and Trimester courses in their middle school schedule this year. Second quarter will begin October 16th and fourth Quarter will begin March 11th. Second Trimester will begin November 6th, and the third Trimester will begin February 19th. A complete schedule can be found on the counselor website or via the student’s PowerSchool account.
Academics: I will be addressing the following areas for students at the High School level. Some topics to discuss may include: discussing college options, answering secondary education questions and concerns, helping with scholarships, overseeing dual credit students, running transcripts, determining graduation progress.
Social/Emotional: I will be accessible for students K-12 and will provide support to our teachers providing SecondStep program in the Elementary. Our school district works closely with the ESU staff to address any further concerns.
College Fair: Grades 9-12 will be attending the College Fair held at the Lariat on September 11th.
Senior Financial Aid Night: October 4th at 5:00 p.m. This meeting is for students and parents about the FAFSA and information I share with Seniors.
ACT Testing: Juniors will be doing ACT Prep with me. Their required test day will be March 26, 2024. We will be using the OnToCollege Program. Every student at the high school has access to this program. Seniors are encouraged to take the ACT again this Fall and to work on the refresher course. I will be coordinating and administering the National ACT on two dates:
October 28, 2023 - Register by September 16th
December 9, 2023 - Register by November 4th
